Have you heard that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has developed a new Policy on Data Management and Sharing that will impact nearly all NIH grant applicants? During this two-part webinar series, you will learn more about NIH’s new Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy, which goes into effect January 25, 2023.
This first webinar (August 11, 2022), “Understanding the New NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy,” will focus on describing the basic principles of the DMS policy including the data sharing expectations, the types of funding opportunities that will be affected, how to prepare a DMS plan for future applications, and how to share data responsibly and safely. The second webinar (September 22, 2022), “Diving Deeper Into the New NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy,” will provide more in-depth information on topics covered in the first webinar and expand upon topics including but not limited to privacy protections for human participant data and justifiable limits on data sharing.
This webinar series is a great opportunity to learn more about the new NIH DMS Policy from policy experts. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the latter portions of the webinars.
