Office of the Director

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health is the focal point for complementary and integrative health research at the National Institutes of Health. The NCCIH Office of the Director is responsible for

  • Developing and implementing a strategic plan.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating the programs and activities of NCCIH, including research, training, education, and information dissemination efforts.
  • Providing guidance and policy to the offices and divisions of the Center regarding management, program planning, program coordination, and program evaluation.

The Office also initiates and oversees trans-agency coordination and research efforts in complementary and integrative health.
